This Taunton country house is historic, with a noted mention in the 11th-century Domesday Book. Today you see an elegant frontage with design in the Georgian Gothic imagination (that is to say, stained glass, wooden panelling, grandeur to the max). Vows are exchanged under the light of St Audries’ historic orangery, a stunning ethereal structure, followed by a reception in the vaulted heights of the Great Hall and a three-course wedding breakfast (which you will be invited to sample at dedicated tasting evenings) in the Banqueting Hall. After-parties are hosted at Peregrine House, a characterful space designed for fun. When it comes to resting your head, St Audries boasts four-posters and free-standing spa-certified tubs, including a dedicated Lady Hood Honeymoon suite, and plenty of dinky on-site cottages to house up to 100 guests.
