Tucked into eight acres of Warwickshire countryside, Ansty Hall is a handsome Georgian house with character in every corner. If opting for exclusive use, every inch of the estate is entirely yours on the day, with a variety of charming spaces for your ‘I dos’. There is a garden aisle framed by a 350-year-old cedar tree, to the elegantly finished and light-filled Orangery and Cedar rooms, the period fireplace of The Gilbert Scott, or the quaint Church of St James, a few steps away. The food offering accommodates up to 120 for a seated wedding breakfast; there is everything from canapés to evening buffets and elevated best-of-British menus, all informed by the season. For the latter, expect Pave of Scottish salmon and horseradish to start, roasted fillet of Newlyn hake with choucroute, and a hearty Ansty sticky toffee pudding to finish. A private reception will find a lovely backdrop in the intimate royal-blue Henry’s Library, with picture windows, but for bigger bashes, up to 160, it is The Orangery, complete with a patio set on the expanse of verdant grounds. When the dancing finally winds down, guests can wander upstairs to Mansion House bedrooms or one of the Signature Suites, so no one needs to slip away early.
Nothing was too much trouble. We truly had the best day ever.
