About

Just north of Huntington you will find Holmewood Hall, a red-brick Tudor manor with a Gothic-style facade. This Wind in the Willows wedding venue, set in ten acres of manicured parkland, has developed a wealth of characterful period features over the three centuries it has enjoyed. A Holmewood wedding is guided by the steady hand of a designated wedding manager, leading a team with over 30 years of experience. With their help, you choose between a ceremony in the aptly named Gold Room, complete with 50-foot-long aisle and 18-carat gold leaf ceiling, or a whimsical scene in the backdrop of the band stand. Guests can freely spill through to the Dining Room – a perk of exclusive use – for a three-course wedding breakfast that overlooks the croquet lawn and glassy pond, and then take to the Main Hall atrium, complete with a grand mahogany staircase, for a first dance under a curtain of confetti rains down (an enviable photo-op). The Vault Disco hosts the afterparty, with the option of candlelit drinks on the terrace or cosy debriefs in the library.  Couples have access to a plush four-postered Honeymoon Suite for the night of their wedding and there are 19 luxuriating bedrooms for guests to retire to. Within Holmewood’s framework, you can choose to host six of your bridal party in the courtyard cottage, giving you the choice to extend jubilations into a fully-fledged wedding weekend.

Testimonials

The grounds are stunning – we had so many people comment on how amazing the house looked. Our Personal Wedding Manager was so personable, reassuring and supportive. I honestly can’t compliment her enough.

Holmewood Hall is a gorgeous wedding venue. All of the rooms are incredibly well presented but some, like the Honeymoon Suite, just take your breath away. The hall and staircase are such a beautiful location for the first dance, and it is impossible to not fall in love with the Gold Room where we had our ceremony. The house has a very elegant and timeless feel, without sacrificing the rich history behind its architecture. Our guests enjoyed playing croquet and chess on the lawn; grounds are well-maintained and create a stunning backdrop for outdoor photos. Our Personal Wedding Manager was a complete angel from the beginning, always full of enthusiasm for our day, and very thoughtful whenever we had questions. The wedding breakfast food was all beautifully presented and delicious.
