Swynford Manor is an exclusive-use country house venue set in seven acres of Cambridgeshire gardens and grounds, within easy reach of London. Built in the early 1800s and once home to Lord Byron’s half-sister, the house carries a rich history and a distinctive style, its period character married to a confident, contemporary aesthetic. Inside, a monochrome chequerboard hall, crystal chandelier and grand staircase set the aesthetic tone, opening onto flexible spaces couples can shape around their wedding-day vision: the Garden Room for receptions, the Study for intimate indoor ceremonies, a drawing room and terrace, and a generous bridal preparation room. Ceremonies can be held indoors or out, with every stage of the day, from drinks reception to dining, dancing and evening celebrations, unfolding in one place. The experienced events team works closely with couples throughout, from first arrangements to the finer details, and food is prepared on site by an in-house kitchen using locally sourced ingredients. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a larger celebration for up to 220 for the evening, Swynford Manor brings together character, flexibility and countryside charm to create a day that is wholly your own.
