Just outside the picturesque riverside village of Hurley in Berkshire, Hurley House Hotel is an award-winning boutique venue blending countryside charm with thoughtful, modern design. Set along the Thames Path and within reach of Henley, Marlow, the Chiltern Hills, and Bray’s celebrated restaurants, it is an idyllic base for weddings, civil partnerships, and receptions. The hotel features ten individually designed bedrooms across two levels, offering a peaceful retreat with refined décor. Wooden floors, exposed beams, soft neutral tones, plump leather armchairs and freestanding bathtubs create a homely, inviting ambience (see 360 tour here). Ceremonies can be held in the wood-panelled Garden Pavilion, accommodating up to 160 guests and opening onto a lawn for outdoor celebrations, or in the intimate Private Dining Room, ideal for up to 24 guests, with summer terrace access. Exclusive hire offers total privacy across the hotel, led by the dedicated event team. The award-winning restaurant is a highlight, serving a Japanese omakase experience alongside flavour-led seasonal menus, with bespoke options on request. Hurley House is an easy 15-minute drive from Maidenhead Station (which itself is a quick jaunt from London via the Elizabeth line), and there’s ample parking if you drive down via the M4 or M40 (with space allocation depending on the type of hire).

We held our wedding ceremony, reception and after party at Hurley House using their events pavilion, and we couldn’t have been happier. Naomh was always on the case to ensure the run-up was as smooth as possible and communication was easy. The staff and the owner went above and beyond to make sure that all guests were looked after and the bridal party had everything they needed. The pavilion was stunning with the roof lights, Christmas decorations, new wood panelling and much more…! The rooms were incredible! Although they were a little small, this didn’t matter, as they were clean, well kept, and beautifully decorated with all the bells and whistles you could think of. If you are thinking of using this venue for an event or wedding, we cannot recommend the location and team enough.
Hurley House is such a special place. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our summer wedding. We were able to book all the rooms for our guests and had exclusive access to the spacious garden venue and surrounding grounds. Our guests were blown away by the attention to detail, which was all made possible by the fantastic team at HH, who supported us with our plans.
